Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Trauma PCU/Burn Unit – Full-time, 7P Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 6:45 pm – 7:15 am Position requires 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations. Department highlights: · Justin 5 is a 26‑bed Surgical Trauma Progressive Care (PCU) and Burn Unit. 18 beds are for Surgical Trauma or Burn PCU patients and 8 beds are for Med-Tele Burn Patients. This unit provides higher‑acuity surgical trauma and burn care, including treatment in a dedicated hydrotherapy procedure room for the burn population. Although patient populations differ, this is one integrated unit, and staff are expected to work across both care areas. · MAGNET facility · Level I Trauma Center · Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC · The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills · Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team · Nurse to patient ratio 1: 3-4
